Half Day Walk & Wade Guided Trip for One Person is $250.00.
For Two-Three People it is $325.00
The half day trip includes: About 4 hours of wading and fly fishing instruction in the waters of Haywood County or the vicinity; this includes the waters of the Smoky Mountains or Blue Ridge Mountains. You can choose either morning or evening fishing. Morning fly fishing generally starts at sunrise but may change based on the fishing conditions found that day. Afternoon fly fishing generally starts at about 2 pm--again, this is based on fishing conditions that day and what time the sun goes down.
There are many possible rivers in Haywood County and the surrounding area available for your full day wade trip including the east or the west fork of the Pigeon River and Jonathan Creek. During the warm summer months, if fly fishing for small mouth bass is your thing, we can fish the lower Pigeon. We will coordinate with you on the exact time to meet and location of your wading trip after you have reserved your spot.
Check availability for the date you want by contacting Jerry at 740-296-4825 or via email at info@streamteamanglers.com. After you pay for your trip, you will receive a confirmation email within 48 hours.
Our guarantee: There is never a guarantee for even the most experienced fly fisher that he or she will catch fish. But we do guarantee the opportunity to learn more about the craft of fly fishing while spending time in the unrivaled waters of western North Carolina. Regardless of your skill level, your knowledge will be improved and your skills will be enhanced by fly fishing alongside our experienced guides.
What is included in your half day guided trip? Time with an experienced guide, a fly rod, reel and flies to use on the rivers that day, a bottle of Frog's Fanny Fly Treatment, and bottled water. If you are more comfortable using your own rod and reel, we encourage you to bring them.
What is not included? Waders and boots, as well as outdoor gear like jackets, hats and gloves. If you need help with any of these things, please let us know when you make your reservation.
You are also responsible for obtaining a North Carolina Fishing License. If you show up on the day without a valid license, one must be obtained before the trip can be started and this will reduce the amount of time we have available to fish. So please come prepared. If we fish in the national park, either a NC or TN license is valid.
Please Note: Walking and wading in any body of water are strenuous physical activities. There are innate physical dangers assumed by the customer. By purchasing and participating in this activity, you are proclaiming that you have physical abilities equal to the nature of these activities, and that you assume any and all responsibility related to the dangers involved. There will be a waiver to read and sign before your guided wade trip begins.
Conditions Can Be Unpredictable: The weather and river conditions vary from day to day. These things impact the fishing conditions. If Stream Team Anglers deems conditions to be unsafe in the last few hours before your trip is scheduled to start, your guided wade trip will be subject to rescheduling. We do not issue refunds due to weather/river conditions; however, we are happy to reschedule your trip according to our mutual availability. You are permitted to reschedule up to twice in a year's time without forfeiting your trip.
Cancellation by the customer: If you want to cancel your trip for any reason, there is a 50% refund no less than 30 days prior to the scheduled trip, and 25% refund no less than 15 days prior to the scheduled trip. If canceled less than 15 days prior, there is no refund issued.
