Terms & Conditions

COVID-19 restrictionsWe kindly ask if you are feeling unwell, that you contact us to reschedule in accordance with the guidelines included below.

Our guarantee: There is never a guarantee for even the most experienced fly fisher that he or she will catch fish.  But we do guarantee the opportunity to learn more about the craft of fly fishing while spending time in the great Smoky Mountain waters of North Carolina. Regardless of your skill level, your knowledge will be improved and your skills will be enhanced by fly fishing alongside our experienced guides.

What is included in your guided trips?  Time with an experienced guide, a fly rod, reel and flies to use on the rivers that day, a bottle of Frog's Fanny Fly Treatment, and bottled water.  If you are more comfortable using your own rod and reel, we encourage you to bring them.

What is not included?  Waders and boots, as well as outdoor gear like jackets, hats and gloves.  If you need help with any of these things, please let us know when you make your reservation.

You are responsible for obtaining a North Carolina Fishing License.  If you show up on the day without a valid license, one must be obtained before the trip can be started and this will reduce the amount of time we have available to fish. So please come prepared.  See www.ncwildlife.org for more information.

Please note, if your guided trip is in the national park, either a Tennessee or North Carolina fishing license is valid.

Safety Considerations: The weather and river conditions vary from day to day. These things impact the fishing conditions.  If Stream Team Anglers deems conditions to be unsafe in the last few hours before your trip is scheduled to start, your guided wade trip will be subject to rescheduling.

Other safety considerations include using your own judgment while on the river and in the outdoors. The guide will never knowingly put any customer of Stream Team Anglers at risk. However, if at any time you want to stop any activity, it is your responsibility to speak up. Your guide will immediately stop and work diligently to find a setting that will meet your conditions for that day's fishing and/or instructions.  Safety first; fish second.

Rescheduling: We do not issue refunds due to weather/river conditions or anything else that might arise that could lead to the decision to reschedule; however, we are happy to reschedule your trip according to our mutual availability.  You are permitted to reschedule up to twice in a year's time without forfeiting your trip.

Cancellation by the customer: If you want to cancel your trip for any reason, there is a 50% refund no less than 30 days prior to the scheduled trip, and 25% refund no less than 15 days prior to the scheduled trip. If canceled less than 15 days prior, there is no refund issued.
