This is the 50/50:
It starts with a morning filled with individualized instruction to help hone your fly fishing skills. Whether it's knots, casting, fly tying, or other techniques you want to master, we have the knowledge and the experience to help take your skills to the next level.
After a simple lunch, the afternoon is filled with fly fishing instruction in the waters of Western North Carolina. Exactly where we fly fish is based on the fishing conditions found that day. Fortunately, we have many local waters from which to choose, including the east or the west fork of the Pigeon River, Jonathan Creek, the Tuckaseegee, and a few others. During the warm summer months, fly fishing for small mouth bass in the lower Pigeon is a lot of fun.

Our guarantee: There is never a guarantee for even the most experienced fly fisher that he or she will catch fish. But we do guarantee the opportunity to learn more about the craft of fly fishing while spending time in the incredible waters of western North Carolina. Regardless of your skill level, your knowledge will be improved and your skills will be enhanced by fly fishing alongside our experienced guides.
What is included in your guided trip? Time with an experienced guide, a fly rod, reel and flies to use on the rivers that day, a bottle of Frog's Fanny Fly Treatment, a simple lunch, and bottled water. If you are more comfortable using your own rod and reel, we encourage you to bring them.
What is not included? Waders and boots, as well as outdoor gear like jackets, hats and gloves. If you need help with any of these things, please let us know when you make your reservation.
You are also responsible for obtaining a North Carolina Fishing License. If you show up on the day without a valid license, one must be obtained before the trip can be started and this will reduce the amount of time we have available to fish. So please come prepared.
Please Note: By purchasing and participating in this activity, you are proclaiming that you have physical abilities equal to the nature of it, and that you assume any and all responsibility related to the dangers involved. There will be a waiver to read and sign before your trip begins.
Conditions Can Be Unpredictable: The weather and river conditions vary from day to day. These things impact the fishing conditions. If Stream Team Anglers deems conditions to be unsafe in the last few hours before your trip is scheduled to start, your guided wade trip will be subject to rescheduling. We do not issue refunds due to weather/river conditions; however, we are happy to reschedule your trip according to our mutual availability. You are permitted to reschedule up to twice in a year's time without forfeiting your trip.
Cancellation by the customer: If you want to cancel your trip for any reason, there is a 50% refund no less than 30 days prior to the scheduled trip, and 25% refund no less than 15 days prior to the scheduled trip. If canceled less than 15 days prior, there is no refund issued.
